As a note, you CAN have no winner in a match with EoE, i was playing a tomb round with some guildies and a friendly guild and we came up agianst a group that threw that down, both teams fought each other and a couple died, then instantaneously everyone on both teams just dropped.

It was a no-winner game. Funny as hell too.

Yeah, that was pretty funny. We actually ended up helping out the bomb a ton by all but DPing out the IWAY build on the other side. All of their Warriors had like 200 max hit points and just dropped like rocks when the bomb came. Plus we had seriously FUBARED the last battle with the IWAY team and people were playing really poorly because of the confusion that came from it. Basically we were set up perfectly for an Edge bomb and your pug executed one well.

It isn't a bad strategy, though it's incredibly unreliable - you have maybe 5 seconds to set the thing off once the Edge is down, or the whole thing fails. I've tried using it as a hall cap strategy with IWAY, actually, with minimal success. It's a fun combo, though, and if you keep at it it'll work every once in a while, and then you have some great stories.

Congrats on the win.

Heal party is always nice. However it doesn't really help agianst the big big edge bombs.

yea you got it exactly right. its entirely hit or mis, and each fight lasts like 10 seconds. seriously any 3 way map is perfect for an edge bomb because theres just that many people... weve blown up courtyard maps before with only 30 damage eoe's, and we had a 50 damage one

but the best part about it is its just so non stressful. like everyother build in the game all you hear on ts is like "OMG CAP IT... WTF NO KILL THAT MESMER... OMG MONKS HEAL ME... AAAH WTF NOOOO"

on our ts all you could hear was 8 retarded guys laughing like we were all high.

it started to suck after a bit because everyone knew our group and expected it. oh well.

we actually won it again later, beating out some rank 9 pug. holding it was just too hard when everyone knows what you use. i guarantee you, if we could hide our secondary class we would camp that hall for ages

(fyi - it wasnt a pug. apparently the SS guild is known for bombing out alot, so to keep relative anonymity i wasnt in front and we took only 4 member of SS with some good friends as the other 4. didnt help much after a few hours... =/ )

It's cause we weren'T running our Mending Build of Uber Death and Destruction. You'd also loose to the flare/ice spear spam build. Seriously congrats on the EoE. It used to be sweet since you could put down 3 or 4 of em but ever since that update it got quite hard. You could also try this since you seem to love bomb effects:

Die 30 times before the match
Raise an army of minions
Death Nova them all
Send them all on the altar
Put up EoE
Taste of Death
KABLOOOOMIE !! 50 minions dying next to the hero with nova on them

That would be one hell of a gigantanormous spike. Consider you clip 2 or 3 humans with it then suicide your team... pretty much anything in the radius of the EoE would be dead. Fast Cast Light of Dwayna Mesmer and you're good to go lol.

i've heard stories about a ghostly hero surviving the EoE bomb and capping HoH with like 3 seconds left.... no idea who this happened to (listened to in on vent while not looking at names, can't remember if it was a sB or an iQ guy or someone else telling stories or whatnot)

ghostly doesnt take damage due to eoe when people die so if hes close enough they will fight it out on the stand while everyone watches dead.
